PRESS RELEASE

Progress in Palliative Care selected for indexing in CINAHL

Leeds, UK, 1 November 2006

We are extremely pleased to announce that Progress in Palliative Care has been selected for inclusion in CINAHL.

This announcement marks a significant development for Progress in Palliative Care, which is also indexed in AMED, EMBASE and Scopus

The CINAHL database covers nursing and allied health literature. It has emerged as a comprehensive and versatile guide to an exploding body of knowledge, and now extends beyond the limits of a bibliographic print index. Although a bibliographic database, the CINAHL database continues to include selected original and full-text material. Currently abstracts for more than 924 journal titles (active and inactive) are available. CINAHL abstracts are available for audiovisuals and educational software. There are now 5,474,201 citations in the database, and these can be used to track the evolution of ideas in the professional literature. Citations are included for nursing, allied health and health sciences librarianship journals.

Progress in Palliative Care features peer reviewed original research as well as commissioned reviews and a comprehensive bibliography . It is available online and in print and is published six times per year.
