PRESS RELEASE
Leeds, UK, 12 July 2006
We are extremely pleased to announce that Chronic Illness has been selected for inclusion in MEDLINE. The indexing will include the 2006 issues and all previously published issues, starting with Volume 1, Issue 1 (2005).
This announcement marks a significant development for Chronic Illness, which has also recently been accepted for indexing in CINAHL, EMBASE, EMNursing, PsycINFO, and Scopus. It has quickly established itself as an important resource for those who study, work with, or manage chronic illness.
MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine's premier bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences. MEDLINE contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 4,800 biomedical journals published in the United States and 70 other countries. The database contains over 14 million citations dating back to the mid-1960s. Coverage is worldwide, but most records are from English-language sources or have English abstracts.
Chronic Illness features peer reviewed original research as well as reviews, discussions, communications and news items on all aspects of chronic disease management. It is available online and in print (on acid-free paper) and is published quarterly.
