Maney secures new consortium licence with major Australasian universities for online journal collections

Three major Australasian universities have signed up to Maney Online Research E-journal collections for 2008 in an arrangement with the consortium Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL).

The Australian Catholic University is taking the Healthcare and History and Humanities collections, Swinburne University of Technology is taking the Materials Science and Engineering collection, and Victoria University of Wellington is taking the full electronic package.

Shelly Lynds, Director of Sales and Marketing at Maney, said: “It is great to see more universities taking advantage of the deals available through consortia licensing to gain access to our MORE collections. We are pleased to be working with CAUL to facilitate ease of access to our online journals and better value for money for Australasian institutions.”

Diane Costello, Executive Officer of CAUL, is also pleased with the new agreements: “Maney's licensing options represent excellent value for Australasian university libraries, and we are glad to facilitate them for these universities

Full details of the offers available from CAUL for access to Maney journals can be seen at www.caul.edu.au/datasets/maney.html.

The MORE (Maney Online Research E-Journal) collections offer instant online access to more than seventy titles. The Materials Science and Engineering collection is enhanced by the addition of eleven titles published by Multi-Science Publishing in the UK. To view the MORE collections and journals available from Maney Publishing please visit www.ingentaconnect.com/content/maney

Last month Maney also announced two new collections in the MORE range: the Archaeology and Heritage and Language and Literature collections.

Consortia licensing options enable participating institutions to join together to expand their resources to the full text of MORE. For further details on any of the licensing options available, or for a free 30 day trial, please contact Shelly Lynds on s.lynds@maney.co.uk or +44(0) 113 386 8169.
