Why has Maney decided to develop licensing agreements? Maney has introduced the MORE (Maney Online Research E-Journals) licensing options to meet clients' needs for stable pricing models that reduce the unit cost of information whilst at the same time expanding access to a wider range of electronic content.
Electronic licensing agreements increase the readership of the journals by allowing more users to access the material; that, in turn, will raise citations and hence demand for the products. This will ultimately lead to more sales of the journals which in turn will give the journals more exposure and kudos in the marketplace.
They also open up access to a wider audience as some of the smaller institutions who would not normally be able to afford the journals can join a consortium purchasing group and benefit from sharing resources with institutions that have more resources.
What are the different MORE products? The full complement of Maney electronic titles is available in one collection for multidisciplinary universities and library consortia wishing to provide the greatest breadth of content to their users. Please see www.maney.co.uk/online/MORE for a complete listing.
As some universities will not require every title available within the Maney journal portfolio, individual subject specific electronic journal collections are also available:
Materials Science and Engineering Archaeology and Heritage NEW FOR 2008 Language and Literature NEW FOR 2008
These subject specific journal packages can be broken down even further if required (e.g. an archaeology package, a literature package or a metallurgy package).
Example:
Archaeology
Ÿ Industrial Archaeology Review Ÿ Medieval Archaeology Ÿ Palestine Exploration Quarterly Ÿ Post-Medieval Archaeology
Do you offer free trials to the journals? Free 30 day trials are available on request enabling you to evaluate the top quality content and discover how MORE will add value to your library collection. Simply complete the online form or for further details please contact Shelly Lynds at s.lynds@maney.co.uk or +44 (0)113 386 8169.

Once you have your customer number, please go to the relevant journal website address listed below and follow the activation instructions:

It is the responsibility of the institution to change or add IP addresses as required. Unfortunately, there is no means for institutions to assign access by username and password at this time.
Do you allow access to the electronic archive? The electronic access includes the full text archive of the journal/s. Furthermore, the archive of the material subscribed to during the period of the subscription/license agreement can be made available in perpetuity if required.
Do you allow multi-year deals? Various licenses are available to suit the differing needs of our customers. Please see www.maney.co.uk/licensing for full details of the different licences available. Where a multi-year licence is offered, the annual price rises are capped at an agreed % increase over the full term of the agreement.

Ÿ Upload data from email alerts into bibliographic tools. Ÿ Manage their alerts according to their own preferences and research needs. Ÿ Become more self-sufficient in managing and locating the current research they need.
As an administrator you can:
Ÿ Supplement current offerings with powerful alerting tools to search against a database of more than 16 million articles, from more than 28,000 publications and 6,100 full text, online publications. Ÿ Provide users with an unlimited number of New Issue Alerts and Saved Search Alerts across IngentaConnect content. Ÿ Select from mediated or unmediated alerting service options - allowing for various degrees of control.
Download Alerting Services brochure (PDF), or for more information on obtaining an alerting license for your institution, please contact libraryinfo@ingenta.com.
RSS Feeds RSS Feeds allow you to keep up-to-date by receiving notification when new issues of publications are made available online. Follow the link within the feed to move directly to the tables of contents on IngentaConnect. The feeds show the latest issue numbers and dates together with a link to the full table of contents at www.ingentaconnect.com.
Please note: An RSS aggregator or feed reader is required to operate RSS Feeds. A useful list of RSS readers can be found here: http://allrss.com/rssreaders.html
