This page showcases our expanding collection of books and journals in language and literature, covering the full breadth of European languages and literatures and related disciplines in the humanities. It is a vibrant publishing programme including 22 journals and around 250 books.
Maney Publishing has worked closely with the Modern Humanities Research Association (MHRA) since 1963, publishing their journals and books (in particular the acclaimed Texts & Dissertations series) and in 2004 the two organisations jointly acquired and relaunched the Legenda imprint. For further information about titles in the Legenda series or to view the online catalogue please visit: www.legenda.mhra.org.uk
Maney has been at the forefront of the transition to electronic publishing in the humanities. All the journals shown on this page are available online as part of an institutional subscription and Maney is actively addressing the library and consortium market through its MORE journals collection. Click on the MORE leaflet below or visit www.maney.co.uk/licensing for further information.
We hope you find much to interest you in our collection and in turn shall be pleased to receive your proposals for new titles. Please click on the journal and book covers below to link to further information.

Legenda
Legenda was founded in 1995 by the European Humanities Research Centre of the University of Oxford and is now the imprint of the Modern Humanities Research Association in association with Maney Publishing.
The imprint was founded by a group of scholars concerned about increasing difficulty of access to publication in the humanities. Today, Legenda is passing its hundredth book title: around one-third of all working modern linguists in the UK have already published books, chapters or articles with the list.
Italian Perspectives and Research Monographs in French Studies are part of the Legenda imprint. See below for further details.
