Fast track publication

Fast track publication is available for some of our titles, enabling peer-reviewed, copyedited, author-approved articles to be published online in advance of the printed and online issue. This allows us to publish articles ahead of issue schedule without the space and timing constraints of the complete issue. As soon as an article is online via fast track it is searchable and can be cited.

Fast track articles are considered published but are not paginated and are therefore not the complete final version that will appear in an issue. Apart from issue pagination we would only make further changes in rare circumstances once an article is online via fast track. 

Authors wishing to cite fast track papers should give the journal name and the article DOI. This will enable reference linking via CrossRef and allow forward and backward citation tracking systems to associate the fast track citation with the final journal reference.
