This monthly journal has grown steadily in status and authority over the years, and is now the journal of record for developments in psychiatric practice and service provision. In addition to a wide selection of peer-reviewed papers, regular sections cover topics such as audit and education in psychiatry. The extensive and much-quoted correspondence column provides an important forum for debate on topical issues. There are regular articles about service provision around the world. Papers from overseas reporting clinical and organisational developments in other countries ensure a truly international approach.
