Packaging, Transport, Storage & Security of Radioactive Material (formerly the International Journal of Radioactive Materials Transport) covers all aspects of the transport of radioactive materials, including regulations, package design, safety analysis, package testing, routine operations and experiences, storage and security, and accidents and emergency planning. It is the only international peer reviewed journal exclusively devoted to the transport of radioactive materials and is essential reading for scientists, engineers, designers and regulators concerned with the safe storage and transport of radioactive materials.

Regular issues include Scientific and Technical Papers and Notes, Letters to the Editor, News from the International Atomic Energy Agency, and Reviews of relevant books and conferences. The journal also includes occasional special issues.

From 2012, subscribers will be able to access the complete archive of International Journal of Radioactive Materials Transport (the former title of PTSSRM) back to Volume 1, 1990. This is available via ingentconnect.

Ron Pope steps down as Editor-in-Chief and passes the baton to Matt Feldman
Ron Pope has officially stepped down as Editor-in-Chief of Packaging, Transport, Storage & Security of Radioactive Material and as of July 2011 Matt Feldman from Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the USA. Ron's final Editorial 'All good things must come to an end, but other good things will follow' is available free online to download as is Matt's first 'Connecting with the readership'.

Articles are published online, in advance of being included in an issue, once authors have approved copyedited and typeset proofs. Fast track papers may be cited using the journal name and article DOI, to allow forward and backward citation tracking systems to associate the fast track citation with the final journal reference.
