The Journal of the Energy Institute provides peer reviewed coverage of original high quality research on energy engineering and technology.

  propulsion; emissions and environmental pollution control; clean coal technologies; carbon abatement
  technologies
• Petroleum engineering, including storage and transport
• Alternative energy sources; biomass utilisation and biomass conversion technologies; energy from waste,
  incineration and recycling
• Energy conversion, energy recovery and energy efficiency; space heating, fuel cells, heat pumps and
  cooling systems
• Energy storage and transmission
• Instrumentation, sensors and control
• Fire (combustion aspects only), safety and hazards.

The journal's coverage reflects changes in energy technology that result from the transition to more efficient energy production and end use together with reduced carbon emission.

Fast track publication
The Journal of the Energy Institute offers fast track publication. Articles are published online, in advance of being included in an issue, once authors have approved copyedited and typeset proofs. Fast track papers may be cited using the journal name and article DOI, to allow forward and backward citation tracking systems to associate the fast track citation with the final journal reference.  For more information on fast track, see the online section of our website.
