Cochlear Implants International, the official journal of the BCIG, and affiliated with the CIGI and William House CISG, is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal which was founded in response to the growing number of publications in the field of cochlear implants. It is designed to meet a need to include scientific contributions from all the disciplines represented in cochlear implant teams: audiology, medicine and surgery, speech therapy and speech pathology, psychology, hearing therapy, radiology, pathology, engineering and acoustics, teaching and communication.

The journal publishes original scientific research, case studies, audits of results, descriptions of original concepts and devices, and short reports of work in progress.

The full back archive of Cochlear Implants International's eleven volumes is available online to all subscribers from 2011.

New to Maney
Cochlear Implants International is one of two new additions to Maney's health sciences journal portflio alongside Deafness & Education International. The first issue under the Maney imprint will be published in March 2010, under the existing editorship of John Graham.
