Welcome to the American Society for Hispanic Art Historical Studies web page.

  ASHAHS was founded in 1974 to promote the study of the history of the visual arts of the Iberian   Peninsula. It invites participation from all those in disciplines with research and scholarly interests in the visual culture of Spain and Portugal from prehistory to the present. Interested readers may receive the annual Visual Arts issue of the Hispanic Research Journal by becoming members.
